SANTI DAS - stage name BOYMONGOOSE - is a geeky, naïve, adventurous and cheeky 18 year old who lives in the provincial British town Oyster. His best friends often lead him astray as they explore the usual teenage obsessions - being cool, stylish, chasing girls and being rock stars.
He lives with the only family he has left in the world: his unorthodox Uncle RICKI and a street-smart tomboy sister MINI. Ricki's best friend FLOYD, a laid back biker is practically part of the family too.
Santi LOVES expressing his inner rock star, jamming with his band SCORPION FIST - ASHWIN, AV, JAY and CHRIS - in their home studio "the attic". They all have different musical tastes but that doesn't stop them knocking out tracks and music videos directed by Mini, or jamming with Oyster locals who want to belt out a song to get something off their chest.

Utah music video is released!
Sunday, 17 May 2009
Boymongoose has just released a new music video - Utah. In it he gets coaching in the art of writing hit pop songs, which somehow ends up in a space age music video, green and gold spandex and some grocery shopping.
The video also brings in a bit more of a Bollywood beat than previous numbers and sees Boymongoose breaking away from Christmas pop. It's unfamiliar territory for the little Yuletide rocker, so it's nice to see him maturing as an artist. In future, he plans to mature as a person.
As always, the video took us deep into Jay's home studio for a few months of brainstorming, pitch correcting, recording, arguing, pitch correcting, mixing, dubbing and pitch correcting.
